Donald Glover is the god damn man, all the Childish Gambino tracks are amazing but I can’t get this one out of my head.

He just recently posted this to iamdonald.com and it’s been on repeat for me.

So March 9th marked the day of the new Four Year Strong album titled “Enemy of the World” which is their first album since September 2007 when they released “Rise or Die Trying”. If you’re into melodic hardcore or “pop-punk with breakdowns” and you haven’t listened to FYS then you better get out there and get on it. I haven’t been this stoked on an album since A Day to Remember released their new album last year.

They released a small behind the scenes video for the album, check it out here.

A few months back a colleague of mine introduced me to 8tracks.com, a website dedicated to building playlists within the copyright laws on music. Each playlist must be at least 8 songs (minimum) in length, cannot contain more than 2 songs from one artist and when you’re listening to music you can’t skip more than 3 songs an hour. Once you’ve listened to the playlist before (cookie based on account based) it automatically shuffles the music. Thought I’d share some of my favourite playlists.

So this is the 2nd version of the Major Lazer video for “Keep it Goin Louder” and like some of his songs they’re a bit odd at first but they grow on you. I am now obsessed with all his songs.

Vodpod videos no longer available.

I started research for working in a retro style for a project I’m going to be directing so to test out some colour schemes I’ve decided to do a test image based around the word “SENSES” which is the theme of our project. I’ve had a lot of fun trying to work in a retro style so I’m looking forward to this project for the rest of the semester.

My main source of inspiration for this test piece was from a fellow classmate, as well as the DVNO video by Justice.

When working I like to find some good songs to keep me calm and inspire some of my work. After being exposed to John Legend from the song “Heartbreaker” by MSTRKRFT ft. John Legend I did a little more searching for some of John’s songs and I found this song which really helps me work.

I hope you enjoy his music as much as I do and you should check out John’s albums “Get Lifted”, “Once Again” and “Evolver”.
